i know im very late, its because i am getting a Pro2c myself, Little correction did some research and it is how i thought it was VCA are (Virtual Controlled Amplifiers) other consoles like M32 and X32 refer to them as DCA (Digitaly Controlled amplifiers) same thing. Soundcraft calls em VCAs as well for referance, Basicly everything you put into a VCA, when u click it it pops out, but the corresponding farder is your overall volume for all of the channels in that VCA, say you have a full drumset, say 12 channels, if you want to lover or raise the whole drumeset instead of taking all 12 faders and moving em you can just move that one fader and it will increase or decrease the whole drum "mix". Just something i wanted to mention lol, i saw you kinda got onto it when you talked about MCA's but thought id just mention it anyways to make it more clear

It's such a scam, how these companies lie about the number of channels in their mixers. I'm shopping for one now. I'm sick of these liars. It's a con and it's misrepresentation.

That's a good basic walkthrough. Couple of pointers to think of. 1. There is another version of this desk that has bluetooth/wireless capability. At the price point both the X2442USB and the QX2442USB are the same. Is that a tip off that 'both' have wireless capability? One thing to understand is that more and more music equipment has capacity to be wireless controlled and that does give rise to EW (Electronic Warfare) principles and parameters where equipments can be interfered with or monitored which can make an artists intellectual property vulnerable to theft, as well as the capability for 'big brother' to manipulate or harass the artist by stealth/wireless capability. I am ex Royal Signals Telegraphist and know this has been going on for years already - industrial espionage more aggressive and clandestine within the field of music creativity than any other industry (including arms manufacturers) because of the vast sums of money that the music industry creates. 2. A second point is that, I understand that this can work within a DAW where the individual channels on the mixer can be assigned with perhaps Cubase or Pro Logic, and even Ableton that could emulate stage performance as well as studio. It could be a very decent way to be able to record whole performance as a dry mix from main out but more than this, this unit has the capability to record your individual dry/wet signal from each channel which you can place in your channel strips in your DAW. It has the possibility to have the dry signal from each channel placed in your DAW as well as the dry/wet mix for each channel. This leads to the possibility of being able to create the final mixdown with your individual dry/wet signal from individual channels or your dry signal alone that you may want to edit in Cubase/Pro Logic etc. Making developments all that more expansive. 3. These units are currently costing around 300 uk pounds which offers quite a lot. My only fear is that your work 'could' be compromised by EW principles if wireless capability is incorporate. 4. It would be great to see you demo this using a DAW which will have the behringer xenyx listed in instruments. 5. THERE NEEDS TO BE A WAKE UP CALL FOR ARTISTS AND TECHS THAT GIVES A HEADS UP TO LOOK AT CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS TO ASCERTAIN IF WIRELESS ANTENNA IS SITTING ON THE COMPONENT BOARDS. MORE AND MORE THAT IS A DIVIDE OF PEOPLES WHERE EVEN IF TALENTED THEY MAY WANT TO ROB YOU OF YOUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CALL IT SERVITUDE. AS WE BECOME MORE AWARE THERE ARE OTHER EARTH LIKE CELESTIAL OBJECTS WITH SOCIETIES SIMILAR TO OURS, YOU MAY FEEL YOUR EFFORTS ARE GOING NOWHERE. THAT MAY BE THE CASE HERE, BUT ON ANOTHER TERESTIAL OBJECT YOU HAVE MADE A STAR OF SOMEONE STEALING YOUR WORK FOR THIER GRAVY TRAIN. *** BE WARNED ***. Great 3 vids.

So 8 direct out + 8 sub out, so if I root chanels 9 to 16 into the 4 sub, it’s basicly a 16 direct in/out mixers no ?

I have the x2222, with 7 mics connected to it. If I connect the mixer to my computer, can I change the sound of the drum from the computer using plug ins? I don’t want to record but I just want to change the sound for the earphone?

I like the single cable option. I have a similar setup, but I’ve been using the x-touch and m32-edit seperately. (Using a surface pro and a 24” touchscreen. As the x-touch will natively talk to the m32 over Ethernet. I’ve also been running the M32 at FOH as I didn’t have the Dante card in it. Now that I’ve got the DN32 installed, this looks like a better option. I think I’d still end up with two cables though as I use an SD8 at FOH for matrix outs and some local analogue gear, (aux remap to aes-b is such a great option) Have you got build info for the monitor mount case? (Like dimensions or templates) or was this a conversion from something else?

Just for info, when you’re clicking mute on that channel, the listener doesn’t know what is being muted…

I know its an old video, but I hope to get an answer! When you record drums on a Mac and use a simple program like GarageBand, how do you see the drums - like one mix track, or they can appear like separate tracks for every mic you've plugged in? Tnx!
